Vedran Blagus is Associate Partner at LAUNCHub Ventures, leading the firm's work across Croatia, Slovenia, and the Western Balkans. He joined in May 2026 after eight years at South Central Ventures, where he built a portfolio spanning Agrivi, Underline, SplxAI, and 57hours, among others. SplxAI, an AI security company he backed at seed was acquired in the US within a year. He considers it one of the clearest signals that the regional ecosystem has matured.
Between South Central and LAUNCHub, he spent a year as Managing Partner at Feelsgood Capital Partners, helping launch Feelsbetter, Croatia's first licensed social impact investment fund, targeting up to €60M in fintech, healthcare, edtech, and digital agriculture. Before venture capital, he came up through strategy consulting at PwC and advisory internships at EY and KPMG. He has been mentoring at Nuqleus since its early days and sits on juries at Zagreb Slush'D and similar events.
He has been direct about what he is trying to build: fast decisions, honest answers even when they are hard to hear, and a real presence long after the first check. His public thesis is that Photomath, Rimac, and Infobip proved the region can produce outliers. What it still needs is someone close to the ground who sees founders before the pitch is ready. That is the job he moved to LAUNCHub to do.
Ask him about:
How an early-stage B2B company from the Balkans gets to a real investor conversation and what most founders are missing before they ever get to the room.
Vedran is in Dealion because the conversations that move companies forward rarely happen in a conference hallway. Here is what earns its place in his calendar.
A direct read on how to structure an early fundraise from CEE in 2026, what LAUNCHub and comparable regional funds are looking for, how to get a meeting that leads somewhere, and what the pitch needs to look like before it lands.
A working session on what changes between a founder's first customers in their home market and what a seed or Series A investor in the US needs to see. What to build, what to prove, and what to stop doing.
A conversation about what a board observer does, what the founder-investor relationship looks like when it works, and based on twelve portfolio companies, when it doesn't.
The conversations inside Dealion work because they don't happen in public. If Vedran's profile made you want a seat in that room - there's one way in.
You can find Dealion members on LinkedIn. You can sit next to them at a conference. You won't get what we get from each other.
The conversations that move deals happen in a different room. That's the one we built.
